Julianne Moore Controversial Bulgari Ads

The first batch of Julianne Moore's Bulgari Ads was released last January. I didn't heard any violent reactions for the ads back then. However, just recently, I read a news article from Telegraph that the guardians of decorum in Venice said that a billboard of Julianne Moore who posed naked with Bulgari handbag and two lion cubs is "inappropriate".


What's your opinion on this controversy?

Bono in Louis Vuitton Latest Core Values Ad

The latest "Core Values" of Louis Vuitton features U2 front man Bono and his wife, Ali Hewson. The couple wore clothes from Edun, the clothing label that promotes trade with Africa. The tote bag that has been carried by Ali was co-designed by by Edun and Vuitton.

The latest Louis Vuitton Core Values ad was shot in South Africa where Bono and Ali disembarked from a small airplane. Carrying a “Every journey began in Africa” tag line, this ad will appear in September on daily newspapers and in October on fashion magazines.

Sendo apaixonada por Macaron (doce francês que é uma espécie de bolinho de suspiro recheado com os mais diferentes sabores) na minha viagem à Paris provei todos possíveis e imagináveis e elegi os 3 melhores lugares para comprar e comer Macaron:

1. Ladurée: fundada em 1862 é a mais tradicional pastisserie e salão de chá de Paris, muitos consideram seus Macarons os melhores. Além dos tamanhos tradicionais do doce, eles também vendem os giant macarons, que são enormes!

É legal ir na Ladurée tomar chá da tarde e comer Macarons, existem várias por Paris, na dúvida de qual ir vá na da Avenue Champs-Elysées número 75, que é a mais famosa.

Na loja de departamentos Printemps tem dois quiosques: um que só vende Macarons e outro (que é obrigatório provar) que vende sorbets com Macarons em cima!

Fora da cidade tem no Chateau de Versailles e no terminal 2 do aeroporto Charles de Gaule.

2. Pierre Hermé: na minha opinião o melhor! Os sabores dos Macarons não são nada tradicionais, chegam até mesmo a causar estranhamento, porém não existe nada igual, é incrível.
Sabores exóticos como maracujá com chocolate, morango com wasabi, flor de jasmin, morango com vinagre, rosas, azeite de oliva e baunilha, damasco e pistache, pessêgo com damasco e açafrão.... fazem da Pierre Hermé parada tão obrigatório quanto ir à Torre Eiffel em Paris.




Vende na Galeries Lafayette mais nunca tem todos os sabores dispiníveis no mesmo dia, então é legal ir nos outros endereços por Paris como as lojas da Rue Cambon número 4 e da Rue Bonaparte número 72.

3. Sadaharu AOKI: o chefe é japones mais o Macaron é muito bom, ele mistura ingredientes tipicos do japão para criar os sabores de Macaron. Lá você também encontra os sabores tradicionais de frutas e são geladinhos e refrescantes.



Tem um quiosque enorme na parte gourmet da Galeries Lafayette! Vale a pena também provar os doces.

Vontade de voar para Paris só para comer Macaron!

wishlist for fall: shiny brown hair color

i haven't been dyeing my hair for a couple of months now. it's been liberating, easy, and just plain lazy. perfect for summer. but i'm becoming more and more discontent with my natural look. you know why? because i've been reading (too many) september issue magazines, which are basically comprised of 500 pages of wishful thinking. they make you unsatisfied with everything in your closet. oh yeah, and the weather. it's still scorching hot outside, and i'm wishing for changing leaves and a brisk feeling in the air. and a beautiful autumnal (gah, i hate that word!) hair color to match. 


now here's the tough part- which one do i want??

Miss Universe 2010 Fashion Style

Yesterday,Jimena Navarrete of Mexico was hailed as the Miss Universe 2010. She received her crown wearing asymmetrical red satin dress by Sherri Hill, chandelier earrings and a bracelet from Diamond Nexux Labs.


Once again, let's see her fashion styles last night.


Navarette wore a studded purple bikini from Dar Be Dar.


She also wore a red Sherri Hill gown with a slit on the side and asymmetrical neckline.


For the party after the pageant, Miss Universe 2010 wore a chic silver gown.

a couple of weeks ago, there was a sale at walgreens- certain brands of sally hansen nail polish 2 for $4. i couldn't help it.

"glazed sand" look like a beautiful rose gold color.... but on me, it looked really pale. champagne, really. disappointed....

but "pacific blue" is awesome! kind of like an electric version of royal blue. love love love. i first wore it on my hands, but now it's on my toes too, because i think it's perfect for the end of summer.

new nail polish: wet 'n wild megalast in "private viewing"

have you tried the new wet 'n wild polishes yet? and by new i mean a few months ago.... well you should, because they're amazing! they're $2, available everywhere, last forever, and are all super sophisticated colors. here's the first one i tried-

2 coats, no top coat

,i really like this shade. it's kind of so ugly that it's awesome. lucky magazine featured a shade like this a few months ago, and i much prefer it to the dark taupe shades that are soooo popular these days. kind of reminds me of chanel inattendu:

wet 'n wild's "megalast" formula is amazing, by the way. i've bought another one, and still want more!
