Matthew Williamson's Homecoming

The History
Armed with a degree from Central Saint Martins, Matthew Williamson burts onto the scene in a cloud of fuschia, tangerine, and turqiose. He presented the first collection of his eponymous label in 1997 at London Fashion Week before moving his show to New York in 2002.

The Look This Fall
Synonymous with bright kaleidoscopic hues and vibrant prints and patterns. Williamson has updated his signature look for fall 2007 in a palette of peacock blue, topaz and azure. Jewel tone satin dresses and feminine silhouettes give the collection a polished feel and there are still plenty of gemstones, beading and printed chiffons.

The Matthew Girls
kate Moss and Jade Jagger modelled in his forst show and his playful hippie chic clothes are wardrobe staples for Brit-girls Sienna Miller, Keira Knightly, Mischa Barton and Naomi Campbell.

The Homecoming Celebration
Staged in a tent central London's classiest quadrangle, Eaton Square,Matthew Williamson comes along with a lithe and striped backed collection opened by a live one-song performance by Prince. According to yahoo news, Williamson won himself a standing ovation after the show and you could tell that the crowd felt proud of him.
