We all know that Salmon is a good food but who would have thought that its scaly skin can be of great use in the fashion world? Well, one person definitely thought of it, Claudia Escobar introduced her salmon-skin bikini in Time Magazine's Coolest Inventions of 2003.
Chilean fashion designer observed that masses of salmon skin discarded worldwide every year and she managed to use it into a line of luxury swimsuit.
The sexy swimsuits are cut from a tanned, dyed salmon skin material. The soft, smooth and lightweight "sea leather" has a natural elasticity that won't sag after a dip. The suits are part of a full line of fish-leather apparel (including jackets, skirts and sandals) introduced by a London company, Skini.
